Tidal streams are entirely predictable many years in advance. This means that the electricity produced by tidal power farms is completely dependable, allowing operators to deliver power to a reliable schedule.
Because seawater is 832 times more dense than air, tidal power machines can be much smaller than wind turbines. This allows them to be packed closely together, reducing environmental impact, interconnection and maintenance costs.
In addition, many tidal power machines, including the Pulse-Stream device, are fully submerged, so they do not intrude on the natural beauty of the coastline.
And, of course, tidal power is a natural, renewable and inexhaustible energy supply.
